Meet Vanemar Battery Sensor

Learn what Vanemar Battery Sensor does, its functions, benefits, and how it integrates with your Vanemar system.

Updated yesterday

Overview

The Vanemar Battery Sensor (VMBS2) enables you to continuously monitor the voltage of your boat’s batteries. It periodically measures the connected battery’s voltage and alerts you through the Vanemar App if it drops to critical levels, helping you protect against unexpected power loss.

Main Functions of Vanemar Battery Sensor

  • Measures voltage of connected batteries.

  • Sends alerts when voltage reaches critical thresholds.

  • Supports multiple battery systems (12V, 24V, 36V, 48V).

  • Transmits data wirelessly to your Vanemar Gateway.

Benefits of Vanemar Battery Sensor

  • Prevent battery failure: Early alerts give you time to act before batteries fail.

  • Protect onboard systems: Avoid sudden power loss that could damage electronics.

  • Peace of mind: Monitor batteries anytime, anywhere through the Vanemar App.

  • Easy integration: Works seamlessly with the Vanemar Gateway and other sensors.

How Vanemar Battery Sensor Works with Vanemar

The sensor connects directly to your boat’s battery and transmits voltage readings wirelessly via ZigBee to the Vanemar Gateway. The Gateway relays this data to the Vanemar App, allowing you to view real-time values and receive push notifications if voltage levels are unsafe.

Note: The Vanemar Battery Sensor also acts as a wireless extender within your Vanemar mesh network. This helps improve connectivity for other sensors on your boat. Learn more in our guide on optimizing and extending your Vanemar wireless sensor network.

⚠️ Note: Requires Vanemar Gateway and an active Vanemar App subscription.
