Safety and Preparation
Moor the boat securely and switch off engines and shore power
Work in a clean, ventilated environment
Seek professional help if unfamiliar with marine electrical systems
Extending the Network
Connect the included T-connector to the NMEA 2000 backbone.
Ensure proper termination resistors at both ends of the backbone.
Connecting the Adapter
Use the included 10 cm drop cable to connect the adapter to the T-connector
Ensure connectors are firmly locked
Mounting the Vanemar NMEA 2000 Boat Adapter
Mount vertically in a central location, away from metal surfaces
Avoid placing within 5m of a compass
Mount below 2m height from floor level for safety
Use bulkhead mounting with supplied screws
Installation Precautions
Do not mount near heaters, air conditioners, or direct sunlight
Avoid metal surfaces to preserve antenna performance
Tips for Best Results
Position adapter high on the boat for best Wi-Fi range
Keep at least 20 cm distance from the crew during operation
After mounting, restore power to the NMEA 2000 network for pairing
