Overview
The Vanemar Boat Moisture Meter and Temperature Gauge (H1) features a built-in digital display that shows real-time climate data. You can customize this physical display to show readings in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
How to Update the Unit on Your Sensor's Screen
To change the unit displayed on the physical sensor, you must send the command via the Vanemar App:
Open the Vanemar App.
Tap on the Temperature & Humidity sensor card on your dashboard.
Scroll to the bottom of the detail page.
Toggle the unit selection to your preferred choice (°C or °F).
Note on Syncing: The unit on the physical sensor’s screen will not change immediately. To preserve battery life, the sensor communicates with the Gateway at specific intervals. The change will take effect on the physical display during the next synchronization cycle, which may take a short period.
Prerequisites and Updates
The ability to switch display units on the H1 sensor was introduced in Gateway Firmware Version 2.5.1 (400).
1. Active Subscription
Access to the latest firmware updates and remote features requires an active VanemarConnect subscription or an active trial.
2. Receiving the Update
Simply having a subscription does not automatically update your device. To ensure your Gateway receives the firmware:
The Vanemar Gateway must remain powered on.
The Gateway must have an active internet connection (GSM or backup Wi-Fi) to download the update.
Do not disconnect the power while the Gateway is processing updates.
Troubleshooting
If the unit on the sensor screen does not change after some time:
Confirm that your Gateway is shown as Online in the Vanemar App.
Ensure the H1 sensor is within wireless range of the Gateway to receive the new setting.
