How Security Countdown Works and How to Configure It

Learn when Security Countdown is used, how to adjust Countdown Time in Security Settings.

Updated yesterday

Security Countdown adds a short grace period in security events so you can avoid accidental alerts. It can run while switching to Protection Mode and when an intrusion is detected in Protection Mode.

When countdown appears

1. While switching to Protection Mode

When Protection Mode is enabled, protection countdown starts before full arming.

2. When intrusion is detected in Protection Mode

If intrusion is detected while the system is already in Protection Mode, intrusion countdown starts. If the user switches to Onboard Mode during this period, countdown ends.

โ€‹How to set Countdown Time

1. Open your boatโ€™s Boat Detail page.

2. Tap the top-right menu button.

3. Tap the cell with your boat name to open boat settings.

4. Tap Security Settings.

5. Tap Countdown Time.

6. Select the duration you want, or select No countdown to turn it off.

Notice

Countdown is tied to Protection Mode security flow. In Onboard Mode, entry and motion sensors are disarmed, so they do not trigger intrusion countdown.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Countdown feels too short or too long for normal boarding/leaving routines.

Solution: Adjust Countdown Time to match your routine. If false alerts continue, use a slightly longer duration; if you need faster response, use a shorter duration or No countdown.
