Overview
Vanemar now supports NMEA 2000 AC data from devices such as Victron Quattro and similar power management systems.
This allows you to monitor your shore power (AC Mains) and AC load (AC Output) status directly through your Vanemar App.
What You Can See
Once connected to an NMEA 2000 network, Vanemar automatically detects and displays AC data under your boat’s dashboard in the Vanemar App.
You can view:
AC Mains (Shore Power): Voltage, current, frequency, and total power (W).
AC Load: Voltage, current, frequency, and total power (W).
Real-time AC power flow: Check whether the vessel is drawing from or supplying power.
Device Source: The connected NMEA 2000 device (e.g., Victron Energy Quattro).
How to Access AC Data
Follow these steps to view your NMEA 2000 AC information:
Open the Vanemar App.
Scroll down to the Onboard dashboard.
Locate the AC Mains and AC Load cards.
Tap on either card to view detailed information such as voltage, current, frequency, and power.
Compatibility
Device Type | Compatibility |
Vanemar Gateway | Required (Vanemar NMEA 2000 Boat Adapter needed) |
Victron Energy Devices | Supported (e.g., Quattro series) |
Other NMEA 2000 AC Sources | Supported if compliant with PGNs 127744 & 127745 |
Troubleshooting
If AC data does not appear:
Verify that your Vanemar NMEA 2000 Adapter is correctly installed.
Confirm your AC source device is transmitting NMEA 2000 PGNs.
Restart your Vanemar Gateway.
Check for pending firmware updates (feature available in Beta version).
