The `Notification Settings` screen lets you control which Vanemar notifications you receive. You can enable or disable all notifications, manage individual notification types, select specific warning categories, and choose which boats can send notifications to your account.
Notice: Notification settings are managed for your user account. Other users with access to the same boat can choose their own notification preferences.
How to open Notification Settings
To open the notification settings:
Open your boat in the Vanemar App.
Tap the menu button in the top-right corner of the boat screen.
Tap `Notification Settings`.
Enable or disable all notifications
Use the `Enable Notifications` switch at the top of the screen as the main control for notifications.
Turn it on to receive notifications according to the notification types and boat preferences selected below.
Turn it off to stop receiving Vanemar notifications. The notification type and boat selection options are hidden while this setting is off.
After changing this setting, tap `Save Changes`.
Choose which notification types you receive
When `Enable Notifications` is on, you can manage the following notification types separately.
Alarms
Turn `Alarms` on to receive all notifications related to alarms and the alarm workflow. Alarm notifications are managed as one group and cannot be selected individually from this screen.
Warnings
Turn `Warnings` on to receive warning notifications. You can then select or clear each warning category independently:
Power connectivity and battery voltage: Warnings about the Vanemar Gateway's power connection, internal battery, and your boat's battery voltage. This category can help you identify power interruptions, unstable power, battery faults, and voltage levels that are too low or too high.
Vanemar Gateway and sensor status: Warnings about the health and availability of your Vanemar Gateway and connected sensors. These include connection, battery, tamper, temperature, location, and other device status issues that may require attention.
Temperature/Humidity and tank level: Warnings when monitored temperature, humidity, tank level, or water depth moves outside its configured limits.
Engine status and performance: Warnings related to engine operation, such as high engine speed or extended idling.
Allowed area violation: Warnings when the boat moves outside its configured allowed area.
A green checkmark means that notifications for the category are enabled. An empty checkbox means that the category is not selected.
Boat online/offline
Turn `Boat online/offline` on to receive notifications about the Vanemar Gateway's internet connectivity. This allows Vanemar to notify you when a boat goes offline or comes back online.
Choose which boats can send notifications
If your account has access to multiple boats, use the `Boats to Notify` section to decide which boats can send you the notifications selected above.
Receive notifications from all boats
Select `All boats` to apply your notification settings to every boat in your account.
These settings also apply automatically to boats added to your account later.
Choose boats individually
Select `Selected boats` to manage each boat separately.
Select `On` next to a boat to receive notifications from that boat.
Select `Muted` next to a boat to stop notifications from that boat.
Muting a boat only affects notifications sent to your account from that boat. It does not change the boat's sensor configuration or the notification preferences of other users.
Save your changes
After updating any notification preference, tap `Save Changes` at the bottom of the screen. Your new preferences take effect after they are saved.
