Overview

The Vanemar Smoke Sensor is powered by a long-lasting lithium battery. Replacing the battery on time ensures your sensor continues to detect smoke and send alerts through the Vanemar App. The process is quick and can be done without special tools.

When to Replace the Battery of Vanemar Smoke Sensor

Replace the battery if you notice:

  • A low-battery notification in the Vanemar App.

  • The sensor beeping with a single “Di” sound every 53 seconds.

  • The device fails to sound during a monthly test.

⚠️ Important: Always replace the battery immediately after receiving a low-battery warning to avoid gaps in protection.

Battery Type

  • 1 × CR123A or CR17335 lithium battery.

⚠️ Warning: Do not use damaged, leaking, or incompatible batteries. This may damage the device.

Step-by-Step Battery Replacement

  1. Remove the Sensor

    Twist the Smoke Sensor counterclockwise to release it from its mounting bracket.

2. Open the Battery Compartment

Carefully open the compartment on the back of the device.

3. Replace the Battery

a. Remove the old battery.

b. Insert the new one, making sure the + / – polarity matches the markings inside.

4. Reattach the Sensor

Place the sensor back into the bracket and twist clockwise until it clicks into place.

5. Test the Device

a. Press the Test Button on the front of the sensor.

b. Confirm the loud siren and flashing red LED are activated.

c. Check that the Vanemar App shows the device as active.
