Tips & Recommendations
Test Regularly: Press the test button once a month to verify functionality. (To learn how to test the Vanemar Smoke Sensor, please visit Testing the Vanemar Smoke Sensor support article.)
Check Battery First: Most issues are related to low or dead batteries. Always keep a spare onboard.
Avoid Harsh Environments: Do not install the Smoke Sensor in areas with excessive dust, moisture, or direct airflow from HVAC systems, as this can trigger false alarms or reduce sensitivity.
After Smoke Detection: If the sensor has been exposed to smoke from a fire, replace it. Heat and smoke may damage the sensor and compromise its reliability.
App Notifications: Ensure your smartphone and Vanemar App are updated and that notification permissions are enabled.
