Installation & Placement Suggestions for Vanemar Entry Sensor

Learn the best practices to install and place your Vanemar Entry Sensor on your boat.

Before You Start

  • Securing the Boat: before beginning installation, make sure the boat is stationary and securely moored to provide a stable environment.

  • Work Environment: ensure the area is well-ventilated and free of clutter to facilitate a safe installation process.

Important: The device’s disassembly hole is located on the bottom side. When mounting the device, make sure to leave enough space underneath to allow for its removal.

  1. Disassembly Hole

Choosing the Best Location

  • Install indoors on the inner side of a door, hatch, or window.

  • Attach the magnet to the moving part (e.g., door or window).

Placement

Pick a flat indoor spot for installation, such as the inner side of a door, window, or drawer. Attach the magnet to the moving part, like the door or window itself. Before mounting, ensure that the surface is clean. The distance between the sensor and the magnet should not exceed 15 mm (approximately 0.6 inches). The magnet can be placed on either side of the sensor, offering a flexible installation.

Mounting

Peel the double-sided tape on both the cover and the magnet. Secure them by pressing firmly to the spot.
